A Free Little Art Gallery, FLAG for short, is like a Little Free Library, but for small artworks. We want to encourage everyone to create art — you don’t have to be an expert to make something of beauty or meaning. Unlike Little Free Libraries, there’s no official registry — we’re just informally tracking them here.
As you can see from the map, there are hundreds of these that we know of (if we’ve missed some, please let us know), in several countries. Most are started by individuals and are in front of their homes — many of these people are artists who contribute some of their own work. Other galleries are operated by art supply stores, art museums, university art programs, schools, and libraries.
