There’s been a big splash recently about a new type of community sharing project… the mug exchange.
Others have described this well so I’m just going to point you to the information online:
- @mirandalattimore operates the Hazelwood mug exchange in Portland, Oregon.
- alexpaigemarie runs the St. John’s exchange, also in Portland.
- Construction plans on the PDX Dinorama site — text and video versions. This site also has an ambitious worldwide map of “sidewalk joy” that includes the above exchanges — and yours, if you choose to submit it.
I’m not going to list these galleries on the FLAG map since the mugs will not, in general, be artworks created by the participants — but it’s not impossible that you’ll find the work of local potters there.
